Instrument Description

The Leica ST 5020 CV 5030 coverslipper combination is a bench top unit that provides versatility and efficiency all in one intelligent system. Specimen staining and coverslipping is achieved through a sophisticated process that produces high quality staining solutions and perfect coverslipping all in an enclosed environment for safe operation. Streamlined workflow is easily achieved with the Leica’s code rack technology which uses several preprogrammed staining methods that can be identified by color coded clips that attach to the staining rack. The Code Rack technology identifies the color of the clip and corresponds with the predefined process added to the computer.

The Leica ST 5020 CV 5030 coverslipper combination can processe up to 12 slide racks holding 30 slides simultaneously. 4 separate load stations are available to the user to offer a continuous work flow. There are 36 reagent containers (6 which can be rinse stations). Other features include the reagent management system which continuously monitors the concentration of the reagents in each container to ensure high quality staining.

The CV 5030 can coverslip a 400 slides per hour.
