Remanufactured Thermo HM 550 Cryostat
Instrument Description
The Thermo HM 550 Cryostat is a research-grade instrument that incorporates many of the preferred features in an advanced cryostat. The features include: chamber cooling to -35℃, a peltier fast freezing station down to -60℃, and a 9 position quick freeze rail to -40℃.
Also features an automatic coarse feed advance in 2 directions with 3 speed selections. A zero positioning device for specimen orientation and quick-release mechanism for clamping chucks.
The Thermo HM 550 Cryostat also has 3 different cutting modes; a keyboard and display that intuitively guides the user through all operations; a drain system with containers for waste fluids. Section thickness can range from 1-100 µm and a trimming thickness range from 5-500 µm.
